The ever-popular, multi-talented Tony Wright: the poet, composer, and musician appear on KREM Radio not only once, but twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Thursdays to promote the work of our very own Belizean musicians – on Tuesdays from 9:00 p.m. to midnight and then again at 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursdays.

Also on Saturday mornings he displays his fine taste for good music, and his unique persona, which allows him to enter the homes of many listeners locally and internationally from 6:00 a.m. to 12 noon.  The rural community listeners are his stronghold on the airwaves. He sets your Saturday morning mood right, while doing an excellent job of entertaining.

About KREM
The idea for the KREM Radio station originated in early 1979 while Rufus X and I were visiting New Orleans. There was a New Orleans deejay I liked, by the name of Sister Love, and one day Rufus and his cousin, Sam Wiley, who was our host, showed me the building where the radio station which featured Sister Love was located. It was quite a modest, one flat structure, much smaller than the three story Albert Cattouse Building from where the Belize government monopoly station – Radio Belize – was broadcasting.
