Lisa Love Kerr

Lisa Love

In March of 1994 Lisa, a young woman from the neighborhood joined Krem Radio. She has worked on air doing different shifts. She was the first voice you would hear on the radio at 5:00 every weekday morning with her Golden Oldies Show.

Throughout the years she has worked as a Technician, a Panelist on Women’s Round Table, in the News Room and just over 5 years as the Office Manager.

Under the Women’s Round Table umbrella, now Women at Work, she did community work at the Female section of the Prison.

Sixteen years later, Lisa is married and a mother of three.

About KREM
The idea for the KREM Radio station originated in early 1979 while Rufus X and I were visiting New Orleans. There was a New Orleans deejay I liked, by the name of Sister Love, and one day Rufus and his cousin, Sam Wiley, who was our host, showed me the building where the radio station which featured Sister Love was located. It was quite a modest, one flat structure, much smaller than the three story Albert Cattouse Building from where the Belize government monopoly station – Radio Belize – was broadcasting.
